BLIP Target Data-05/16/2017 7th set of RbCl targets (BYC and BYB) Start of Beam 5/4/17, End of Beam on 5/22/17 • Projected total accumulated charge: ~64175 μA-h • Projected EOB Sr-82 yield ~18 Ci • Average current – 148 μA Sc target inserted 2/27/17 @ 1528 behind RbCl targets; beam not to exceed 150 μA • To date accumulated charge: 125860 μA-h • To date beam time – 858.5 h • Average current – 146 µA
Research targets: May 05/1 – 05/30 • Scandium target behind RbCl targets in the low energy slot (as beam stop) 05/22 - 05/23 • Production of Cu-67 and Se-72 dedicated irradiation performed same as last time (on 4/3/17). A 80 µA, 5.5 mm raster, dedicated irradiation at 117 MeV
Research schedule: June 05/30 – 06/05 • no beam – Linac MOD6 repairs, Be window integrity assessment 06/09 – 06/12 • 160 MeV Thorium irradiation for Ac-225 production Box 1 – Th target Box 2 – RbCl production targets Immediately before or after: • 160 MeV test irradiation of a 100 g Thorium target (up to 4h ) • 160 MeV Th foil irradiation for tracer studies (1 h) 06/12 – 06/30 (end of BLIP run) • 180 MeV synergistic irradiation to receive 8 weeks of beam Box 1 – RaDIATE physics experiment (http://radiate.fnal.gov/) Box 2 – RbCl production targets Need to fit dedicated runs with focused beam: • Y-86 dedicated run at 66 MeV 0.5-1h at 50 MeV – week of June 26 • Overnight Cu-67 and As run at 117 MeV – overnight June 26-27 Test run of LaCl3 target synergistic with RbCl in low energy slot - last week of June
