Laptop Logistics • All laptops, power bricks, and backpacks are labeled      with students names • Laptop distribution was promoted as a celebration.   • Newspaper coverage • School superintendent shook each student's hand as they walked across the stage • Laptops were funded by stimulus monies and grants

Timeline • October 2009 • 4th grade pilot class • January 2010   • 1st middle school staff development • February 2010 • 1st phase middle school roll-out • 5-6 classrooms at each of the 3 middle schools • March 2010 • All middle school & alternative school students have laptops • Fall 2010 • 3rd to 5th grade at 2 elementary schools  • 1 high school (other is undergoing renovations) • 2nd middle school staff development  • High School staff development •  Spring 2011 • All grade 3-5 students have laptops
