Parents Parents Jill Phil Played Trombone for 18 years Attended Peabody Conservatory of Music Played in the U.S. Military Academy Band at West Point for 6 years Graduate’s Degree at Columbia Social Worker, Psychotherapist, and Administrator Jill Dental Hygienist for 34 years Works for Smile Programs- Mobile Dentist

  5. Family Aunt and Uncle Grandchildren Grandparents

  6. Childhood • Went to Redeemer Lutheran School for 2 years • Moved to Wind Gap, Pennsylvania at 6 years old • Went to Plainfield Elementary School • Began my 2 year playing time of softball • Parents were divorced when I was 8 • Stayed busy with AWANA, and Sunday School

  7. Middle School Years • Wind Gap Middle School • Began to play the flute in 4th grade • Became a 4-H Sewing and Textiles member • Joined the High School Marching Band in 8th grade • Dad remarried

  8. The Awkward Years First School Dance-8th grade semi formal First boyfriend

  9. Music Took Over My Life • Played flute, piccolo, and oboe • Concert band, Marching band, Orchestra, Summer Music School, Private Lessons, Church solos and performances, Youth Group Band, Chorus, Chuch Choir, and Pep Band • Section Leader in Concert Band, Orchestra, and Marching Band Me

  10. 4-H Sewing and Textiles • 10 years • Tons of fashion shows, judging, competitions, county fairs, and service projects • Hours of sewing and designing shorts, shirts, dresses, business suits, pants, formal gowns, and jackets • Numerous first prizes, Best in Section, and competing at the State level • President of the Plainfield Sewing Club

  11. February 3rd of Freshman Year, my life was forever changed…. My baby brother, Logan Powers Rusche was born and I quickly fell in love with being a big sister

  12. High School Activities and Clubs

  13. Softball Manager • Became the Softball Manager junior year • Ran the scoreboard, scorebook, and took care of the equipment • District Champions in 2008 • Managed for the Varsity team at Campbell freshman year

  14. High School Flew By and Graduation Arrived

  15. Rest In Peace Carol • On July 14, 2009, my stepmom lost her battle to cervical cancer

  16. Campbell Here I come! • In July of 2009, my mom and I moved to Holly Springs, NC to be closer to family • In August of 2009, I began the new chapter of my life at Campbell University! • It became home within the first week
