Dan Preotescu - Regional Transmission Network Investor Workshop Main characteristics of the area from the electricity grid point of view • Presently – 3 synchronous zones: ENTSO-E, IPS/UPS and Turkey • 2015 – 3 possibilities: • 2 synchronous zones: ENTSO-E including Ukraine & Moldova and IPS/UPS • 3 synchronous zones: ENTSO-E, Ukraine & Moldova (for example in testing period) and IPS/UPS • 2 synchronous zones: ENTSO-E and IPS/UPS including Ukraine & Moldova • 2020 – 2 possibilities: • 2 synchronous zones: ENTSO-E including Ukraine & Moldova and IPS/UPS • 2 synchronous zones: ENTSO-E and IPS/UPS including Ukraine & Moldova
