  1. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. (Romans 12:2)

  3. A transformed disciple exercises his gifts with excellence for the good of the body and the glory of God.

  4. Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; (Romans 12:9-10)

  5. Let us have no imitation Christian love. Let us have a genuine break with evil and a real devotion to good. Let us have real warm affection for one another as between brothers, and a willingness to let the other man have the credit. (Rom. 12:9-10, JB Phillip’s translation)

  8. Let love be without hypocrisy. • Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart (1 Peter 1:22)

  12. Be devoted in brotherly love • In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. (Ephesians 1:4-6)

  13. Insight into the transformed life.. The transformed disciple treats his brethren with a love that takes the lead in honoring the other.

  14. Give preference to one another in honor • The picture of that of a person who freely seeks to take the lead in giving honor to others rather than taking it for himself!

  15. “By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:35)
