Using TIDE – Placing Additional Orders and Verifying Contact Information
Objectives • Providing knowledge about the Additional Orders tab in TIDE • Showing how to Verify Contact Information • Giving important Online Testing System and Data Entry Interface reminders
Minnesota Assessments Portal All AIR systems are accessed through the Minnesota Assessments portal located at www.mnstateassessments.org.
Minnesota Assessments Portal As Assessment Coordinators, your primary portal entry will be the “Assessment Coordinators” page.
Logging In Minnesota Assessments systems provided by AIR use a Common Login System. If you are logged into one system, you are logged into all of them and can switch between systems.
Select Test Administration • After you log into TIDE, you may be prompted to select a test administration. • Select the appropriate test administration from the drop-down list and click [Select].
Placing Additional Orders in TIDE TIDE is the repository for all student and user information. It is also where paper materials are ordered, initial orders are viewed and additional materials are ordered, depending on the administration.
Tabs Accessed in Additional Orders Once on the Additional Orders page, you can navigate to different sections using the tabs.
Navigate Using Tabs The “Order History” tab shows materials that have been approved and processed for shipment.
Navigate Using Tabs The “Additional Orders” page allows you to place orders during the Additional Orders window.
Additional Orders Window Additional test materials can be ordered in TIDE until noon on the day before the end of the paper administration testing window.
Before Entering the Data Entry Interface • All accommodation codes must be set in TIDE (for GRAD) or in Test WES (for Title I assessments) by the District or School Assessment Coordinator before students’ responses or score data are entered. • Updates to student information submitted in MARSS will be reflected in TIDE and the Data Entry Interface within 48–72 hours. • The Learner Characteristics Inventory (LCI) must be completed and submitted before you can enter score data for MTAS.
Using the Data Entry Interface • You are permitted to skip a test item only if a student did not provide a response for that item or if an MTAS task was not administered. Do not enter an answer if the student did not select one or if there is no score indicated on the MTAS Data Collection Form. • You can “clear” an item answer or task score that was accidentally selected using the button. • You may mark items for review and review them before pausing or submitting the test. • You may review past items and change the answers only if the test has not yet been submitted for scoring.
Using the Data Entry Interface • As a security measure, you will be automatically logged out after 20 minutes of inactivity. This results in the test being paused. • When resuming the test in the DEI, you will be able to access all test items until the test is submitted for scoring. • When you are done with the test, remember to click [Submit Test For Scoring]. • Once you submit the test for scoring, you cannot return to it. The test opportunity is now completed.
Testing Opportunities • Reading and Mathematics GRAD: Test opportunities expire the same day the test is started. • MCA and MCA‐Modified: Test opportunities are available during the entire testing window. Students have one opportunity for each MCA or MCA-Modified test depending on their eligibility. • OLPA: Test opportunities are available for 30 days or end of testing window. Students have up to two test opportunities for the Mathematics OLPA.
