Company Overview: • TMTL - TAFE Motors and Tractors Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited (TAFE) • TMTL consists of three manufacturing divisions, the Tractors Division, the Engines Division and the Transmissions Division. • Based at Alwar, Rajasthan, the unit manufactures diesel engines in the 5 to 125 kVA range.

Does a generator running on a constant load have a longer lifespan than a generator running on a variable load? • The difference in the type of load affects the auxiliary systems in the diesel generator like the hydrogen cooling, gas supply & controls, stator cooling water and monitoring systems etc. • But when you look at the bigger picture the type of load doesn’t necessarily make a huge difference on the lifespan of the generator unless the generator isn’t taken care of. • Personally, I use a TMTL Engines-Eicher Engines 10 kVA generator for my personal use.
