CHANGES TO COMPETITIONS • Age date - January 1st • No school competition above County at u14 & below • Regional tournaments • No u13, u14 & u15 regional tournaments • Introduction of u14 & u15 High Performance Assessment Camps • Introduce u16 & maintain u17 tournament • No juniors in adult leagues (U15G / U16B)
CHANGES TO COMPETITIONS CTD. • Move away from traditional season for young people • Indoor Season • Only play in one age group – one way, once up stay up in any cycle • Changes to u19 – u21 competitions (BUSA and regional) • Changes to senior domestic competition

KEY MILESTONES-2008 • Adult domestic league changes • National club hockey day • No u14s in adult competitions & introduction of u14 junior competitions • 2 cycle season for juniors including junior indoor season • Coach licensing scheme launched • Local Development Centre 1 & 2 start • 2008 Beijing Olympic Games

Campaign launched • Host major international events – JWCs, WCs, CC/CTs? & Pre-2012 test event • No Juniors in adult leagues & introduction of u15 & u16 junior competitions • County and Regional roles change Beyond 2012 – LTAD firmly embedded throughout sport
