How does this presentation fit visual/logical learners and hypermedia? • This project incorporates” • the visual media (colors and pictures) preferred by visual learners • the logical progression and organization of ideas preferred by logical learners • the graphics, audio, and non linear style used in hypermedia

  6. ~Tara • Highest: Logical- I am an organizer who often spends as much time creating lists about how to do an assignment as actually doing the assignment. • Lowest: Aural- although I love music, I work best in quiet places. Next Person Back to “What types of learners are we?”

  7. ~Jill • Highest- Social- I am a social person that needs interaction. • Lowest- Logical- Math is my worst subject. I wish I was more organized and focused. Next Person Back to “What types of learners are we?”

  8. ~Meredith • Highest: Social-I enjoy social interaction during grad school and would not enjoy a solely online course • Lowest: Verbal- Written expression and communicating my thoughts has always been a struggle for me. Next Person Back to “What types of learners are we?”

  9. ~Michelle • Highest: Visual- I love charts that let me “see” the information • Lowest: Social- I enjoy solidarity and having time to think things over. Next Person Back to “What types of learners are we?”

  10. ~Emily • Highest: Social/Verbal/Solitary – It is interesting I am social and solitary at the same time. I guess it depends on the activity. • Lowest: Aural- I have never been an auditory learner so I definitely agree this would be my lowest learning style Back to “What types of learners are we?”

What are Visual Learners? • Pictures, maps, images help organize information for these learners to see and learn.  • Normally has a good since of direction and can read a map well • Students who are visual learners need to see things written on the whiteboard • A visual learner learns better from seeing a demonstration or video rather than just hearing about something. What is a Logical Leaner? • Math minds • Enjoy using numbers, problem solving and experimenting.   • Strong in solving logic problems and have great reasoning skills.   • Sequential thinkers- prefer step by step instructions and ask questions in a similar way. • It is important for logical learners to understand why they need to learn something.    Examples Back to Table of Contents
