They had always despised him now they wanted to kill him. (1) • II. Jesus is worshiped in Bethany (3-11) • a. Mary claims Jesus as her King and Messiah • 1. She anoints him as her king (3) • 2. She worships him unashamed. • 3. Jesus honors her. (6-9) • b. Judas decides to betray Jesus (10-11)
