Objective: I will have my binder and Cornell Notes checked for points.
You need to get the following done when you are NOT having your binder checked: GPA #3 • Be sure to fill in #3 on the top of your form • Look up your grades that were posted for QUARTER 2 Mid-Quarter Progress • Complete BOTH sides of the form • Don’t forget to set your GPA goal for the end of the semester!! • Turn in to the class basket • Tutorial Reflection: • Use the tutorials from the following 3 dates: • 10/24-25 • 10/31-11/1 • 11/7-8 • I will only award points for complete thoughtful responses • Turn in to the class basket • Finish Habit 4 Handout • Grab a copy of the text • Make sure BOTH sides are completed • Turn in to the class basket

Academic Contracts • ON THE BLOCK DAY NEXT WEEK (DURING TUTORIALS) 11/28 or 29– I will check for the following signatures on the front page: • Student • Parent • All teachers of D or F classes • AND the following requirements from Week 1: • Current grade/ teacher signature from ALL teachers of D or F classes • Parent signature • Student Signature • Week 2 signatures due – Friday, 12/7 • Week 3 signatures due – Friday, 12/14 • As soon as you are at a C or higher, you no longer have to continue the contract in that class
Field Trip to CGCC on Friday, November 30th • Must be signed by a parent • Due back to Mrs. Dyke by Tuesday, Nov 27 or you WILL NOT ATTEND THE FIELD TRIP • We will be leaving CHS at 9:30 and returning by 1:30 • Bring a lunch or $ for lunch • Wear comfortable shoes, we will be doing a lot of walking

AVID Spotlights • Write a thank you to 3 of your current teachers/counselors • It cannot be a generic “thank-you” • Be specific about what you are grateful for • Get tape and a pass and post them on the OUTSIDE of the teacher’s door where you know they will see it • DO NOT go in or disrupt classes!!!!!!!!!! • You will have 20 minutes to deliver your spotlights and return to the classroom
