  2. NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION My Goal for 2014 is to finish my GOALS from 2013 that I should have COMPLETED in 2012 & that I PROMISED to complete in 2011 and PLANNED to complete in 2010

Matthew 28:16-20 16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. 17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

  6. THE BASICS Speaking to THE DISCPLES (after 3½ years of discipleship training) “GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES” (after receiving the power of the Holy Spirit) So what were these disciples like?

  9. Last Year’s Theme Look to Jesus How did you do? Did you see more of Jesus? Did you live more like Jesus over the course of the year?

  10. Theme for 2014(Be, then)GO & MAKE DISCIPLESMatthew 28:18-20 etc Where are you in the disciple growth process? • Still outside. Don’t call yourself a Christian if you are not yet a disciple (John 3:3,5) • Still a spiritual baby. Preach the gospel (Mark 16:15) • Spiritually mature GO and make disciples (Matt 28:18-20)

  11. The Challenge of being a Disciple 1Cor 3:11 -17 • 11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is.If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire. gold silver preciousstones

  13. CONCLUSION – Go and make disciples • Not a disciple of Jesus? Go to Jesus! 2. Are you a spiritual baby? Go and sin no more. Grow up! Study the Word to be approved (II Tim 2:15) 3. Are you mature? Go and make disciples.
