1 Paragraph only • Outlines to the reader the main points you will present to answer the question • Indicates in outline only what your answers will be • Has no details The Introduction Paragraph
The Main Body Has many paragraphs (pgph)Each pgph is focused on one idea or topicPgphs arranged logically
Conclusion • clearly restates your basic answer • Summarises your main points • Does not introduce any new points • Expresses your opinion as to which points are more important than others
Carefully read and understand the question • Summarise key points from notes in a plan diagram or plan list (no details on plan) • Write an introduction mentioning all the main categories or points on the diagram or list that you will use to answer the question. Mention key points but do not explain. • Write a new paragraph for each new main point on your plan Steps in essay writing
