  1. Bigfoot Is there such thing as Bigfoot or, is the big, hairy creature a hoax??? By: Jacob

  2. HISTORY OF BIGFOOT • Bigfoot, or Sasquatch as some call it, is described as an ape-like creature. • It can be six to ten feet tall, weighing around 500 pounds. It is covered in reddish, brown hair-like fur. • It is said to live in forests in the northwestern part of North America and Canada. • The mystery of its existence started about 200 years ago.

  3. HISTORY OF BIGFOOT Many people have claimed to have seen Bigfoot all over the world & Bigfoot has many names: - Canada = Sasquatch - Tibet = Yeti - Australia = Yowie. Even though people may call Bigfoot by different names, the description is always the same.

  4. SCIENCE FICTION THEORIES • In August 2006, researchers at an isolated fishing cabin in Ottawa reported that a violent creature threw rocks at them. A large footprint was found nearby. • In 1941 Jeannie Chapman and her children claimed to have escaped their home when a large Sasquatch allegedly 7.5 feet tall approached their residence in Ruby Creek.

  5. SCIENTIFIC EXPLANATION • The reported size of Bigfoot is about the size of a bear standing on its hind legs. Bears also live in regions said to be inhabited by Bigfoot. So bears probably explain most sightings. • Sometimes people dress up like Bigfoot and fool other people. • Some people think a giant creature called the Gigantopithecus, similar to Bigfoot lived at one time. Fossils were found in China.

  6. MY REASONED JUDGMENT • I believe that a creature like Bigfoot did live millions of years ago. • I thinking the creature was frozen during the last ice age. It was probably preserved and then thawed out around the early 1800s. • It was then spotted in 1840. • Today, the mystery of Bigfoot continues and no one knows the truth.
