  2. CHRISTIANS ARE AN ELECT RACE 1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation The Believers Dignity

  3. Their natural condition is not better than that of other people • They have been chosen by God • They have been chosen by God to become joint heirs with Jesus • They have been chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world

  4. CHRISTIANS ARE A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD (1Pe 2:5) Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. V 9a royal priesthood,

  5. The Believers' Devotion (Exod 19:6) And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. Believers are a kingdom of priests

  6. THE SACRIFICE OF PRAISE Psalm 50:14 • THE SACRIFICE OF BROKENESS Psalm 51:17 • THE SACRIFICE OF PRAYER Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. Psalm 141:2

(Heb 13:16) But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. • THE SCARIFICE OF BENEVOLENCE THE SACRIFICE OF OURSELVES (Rom 12:1) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

  10. CHRISTIANS ARE A PEOPLE WHO HAVE OBTAINED MERCY Verse 9 That you should show forth the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvellous light
