Example: I ran home after the game. • Compound Sentences have two complete sentences (IC) combined with a conjunction. Example: I ran home, and John stayed behind. • Complex sentences have a complete sentence combined with a dependent clause. Example: Even though I was tired, I ran home.
Assignment • Write a paragraph (5-7 sentences) about getting revenge. • Make sure to include and label: • 2 simple sentences (SS) • 2 compound sentences (CPS) • 2 complex sentences (CXS)
