  1. DESERT The desert usually does not get much rain fall. By shelby and jack

  2. LOCATION THE YELLOW IS THE DESERTS The deserts are usually around the equator.

  3. CLIMATE The lowest temperature is 30°F and the highest is 118°F . The desert’s yearly precipitation is 0 to 20 cm. Water falls about 3 times a year.

  4. ANIMAL ADAPTATIONS The SpadefootToad borrows under ground to avoid hot weather andpredators. The African Gerbil doesn’t sweat and they hold water in their bodies.

  5. PLANT ADAPTATIONS The cacti's spikes protect him from being eaten by animals and their roots go deep into the ground to get water.

  6. HUMAN INFLUENCES Off road vehicles are fun to ride in the desert, but when used irresponsibly, can destroy local plants and kill animals. Since oil and natural gas are native to the desert their can be oil and gas spills that kill plants and animals.

  7. FUN FACTS Can you believe that Antarctica is the worlds biggest desert?! There are two types of deserts: cold deserts and hot deserts.
