What is an Actionable Architecture • Actionable Architecture: • Output of business process analysis • Includes decisions that maximize value and minimize waste • Examples: • Creation, automation or termination of a business process • Movement of an automated process to the public cloud, private cloud, or in-house computing utility • Initiating governance of a process -- computing-related or not -- to lean and/or green that process • Identification of opportunities to minimize waste (of people, computing resources, electricity, water, paper, etc.) • Reuse of existing processes in new ways to support a new business capability
