What I did. • On Friday March 11, 2005 I worked the FYE carwash. • All proceeds made that day went to the American Heart Association in memory of John “Baily” Davis who died of congenital heart disease at the age of 3 monthes
The American Heart Association • Between the two carwashes, the FYE raised a total of $500 to donate to The Legacy of the Life Endowment: Supporting Congenital Heart Defects Research and Screening.
About Congenital Heart Disease • It affects 40,000 babies born anually. • There are over 35 types of heart defects identified. • Advances in surgery and medicines have made survival rates increase and help most children in the last 30 years.
Some of my jobs included… • Washing cars • And holding signs to attract customers.
What I did • On Friday March 25th, 2005, I went to the special education classroom at Loganville High School. • I helped the class make flower arrangements. • I played The game of Life with some of the kids during break. • I helped the class set up for a surprise party for one of the students.
