  3. Where to look for fundraisers At parties Newspapers Signs on the road Car washes Relay For Life What to carry with you A business card A fundraiser flyer Goal: Set an appointment, where you will….. Finding/Prospecting the fundraiser

  4. Establish rapport and find out about the group. Ask: What are they raising money for? How much do they need to raise and by when? How many participants to they expect to have How many fundraisers do they typically run in a year & will there be other fundraisers running at the same time? Do they usually offer prize incentives with their fundraisers What has worked well for them in the past and what has NOT. Who will be the main contact person Who will be counting the monies Who should checks be make payable to Present the fundraiser opportunity

  5. Kick Off • This is where you get to put the FUN in FUNdraising! • A chance for you to generate some excitement. • Goals, prize incentives. • A mini demo on some top selling products if time allows. • Go over a few key details

  6. Fundraiser time frame • Typically 2 weeks will get the job done! • Try to cover 2 weekends • Allow for late orders. They will always happen! • Allow another 2 weeks for you to submit the orders and sort and deliver

  7. Closing/Collecting/Processing orders • Establish the collection date and place • If possible, meet with the contact person to count monies together • Enter orders in my.tupp and submit when payments have cleared

  8. Delivering • Orders can ship to you or the organziation • Large fundraisers: You may want to ship to the organization and have helpers sort. • Sort by participant • Deliver to pre-arranged delivery point (PTA meeting, cheer practice etc…)

  9. Presenting the profits • Make a BIG deal out of this! • Have a ‘big check’ to show

  10. One more thing….. • You can use the fundraising catalog or you can use the party catalog • If you offer the party catalog, you will probably get many more orders. • You can offer a part of your commission as their profit in lieu of hostess gifts • Many Consultants do this with great results!
