  2. EXAMINERS’ MANUALS • Pencil/paper and online in same book • Annual Manual • Sections 1-4 and 11 General Directions • Sections 5-7 Online Directions • Sections 8-10 Pencil/paper Directions • Appendix C – Demographic information • Appendix D – Special Test Accomodations

  3. DATA UPLOAD FILE • Be sure all students are accounted for • Use class roster • If NOT on the list – ADD to your list • Name, test, group name, grade • Send to me for registration • CHECK new students – anyone enrolled after October 3 will not be on the list

  4. WHO MUST TEST • Every student on the list who is enrolled in the class or mark as passed the test MUST TEST • Modified standard diploma • IEP diploma • Check homebound • THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS • Will count in AYP

  5. WHO MAY TEST • Modified standard diploma students who need numeracy and literacy – Grade 8 English and Math • Provide a list for DDOT • Test takers – students who have left school and want a credit for a diploma • Retakes – students who failed the SOL previously and need the verified credit • Term Graduates – two tries

  6. TERM GRADUATES • Complete list of term grads • Name, test, group, grade • They will use the same tests as others

  7. TEST PREPARATION • TestNav Tutorial • eTools Live • ePAT online • Rooms are prepared and ready for testing • TestNav loaded and ready • Dividers are there • All scratch paper, testing signs, etc in room

  8. Prior to Testing • Create test sessions in PEM • Be sure to go to FALL NON-WRITING and save – then add sessions • Notify students and all school personnel of test dates and sessions • Test tickets may not be printed more than FOUR(4) days prior to session • SECURE THEM JUST LIKE BOOKLETS and PRE-ID LABELS • Be sure computers are on and TestNav is loaded

  9. Examiners • They should have a roster for each test session – print list • Sign out/in test tickets – count them • Verify Attendance or absence • Students must sign test ticket and return it to the examiner • Organize in ABC order by session • Return to STC who returns to DDOT

  10. Continued • Be sure they have all materials * Scratch paper * Appropriate calculators * Formula sheets * Pencils * Accomodations

  11. Articles in test session • NO CELL PHONES OR ELECTRONIC DEVICES • Scratch paper and formula sheets must be signed and collected • Examiner should distribute one sheet at a time • Patty paper, grid paper, notebook paper • Proctors and examiners should be up and monitoring – not sitting

  12. Allowable Manipulatives • Page 18 – note may and must • May use hand held formula sheet • Must use online ruler • Page 19 – types of calculators allowed

  13. SECURITY • Test tickets • Examiners and proctors sign Test Security Agreements – these must be turned in to DDOT • Clear the memory of all graphing/scientific calculators

  14. Moving to Alternate Location • Collect test tickets • Monitor movement – no talking, discussion, access to any materials • If student goes to RR – someone must be with the student • Turn off monitor so others cannot view • ALL TESTINGMUST END BY 5:00 • And who is staying that long?????

  15. Early Warning System (EWS) • Page 28 • Means a student has lost the connection • Examiner or proctor needs to go to Test Proctor Click Here and determines problem • Notify STC • STC determines who to notify if it cannot be corrected at testing station

  16. IRREGULARITIES • Page 29 • Criteria • Examples • Report to DDOT IMMEDIATLEY • Document on Form in Appendix E and fax to me ASAP • DDOT enters in TIWAS and notifies VDOE

Marking Test Complete • Pages 30-31 • Every student assigned a test must be accounted for via online testing • Mark Test Complete button and choose testing status – Student Test Details Screen • Re-testers do not have to be accounted for if they are not tested • DO NOT mark a student absent until the testing window is complete
