Presenting three impactful ideas to solve real problems in a compelling way. Convince the class that these ideas are innovative and would make great projects.

Slide 1 (change title) • You have up to three slides (16s each) to convey the awesomeness of your idea • Convince the class this is a clever and new idea that will solve a real problem, hopefully in a novel way • Convince the class this would make a great project
Slide 2 (change title) • Images are better than words • If you want to show mock views, rough sketches are fine (and actually preferred) • If you do use sketches, make sure they are large and readable from the back of the classroom • Be specific about why this idea will be break out from the crowd
Slide 3 (change title) • You need to practice your presentation ahead of time and read the fine print: (just because this is only 3 slides doesn’t mean this is easy to do well ... It’s actually quite hard to do a good pitch like this. The good ones will stand out.) • You will present standing from where you are sitting, that day, so be prepared (We won’t have time for everyone to come to the front) • Do not change the slide formatting or timing in any way • Do not change the “Up next ….” slide

Slide 1 (change title) • Try not to put too much text on any given slide • Think hard about how in 20s per slide, you can convey a nugget of an idea

Slide 3 (change title) • The goal is to convey an idea in a succinct, compelling way (not easy!) • The goal is NOT to focus on formatting • That is why you will not change this format, the font, or font sizes

Slide 1 (change title) • Each idea should stand alone (i.e., we should understand it without hearing the other ideas presented frist) • End with your best idea
Slide 2 (change title) • Practice your presentation a few times • Make sure you will not run out of time • You should know the material well enough so that you don’t really need to look at the screen
