2. Human life is from conception to natural death • Unborn child is precious to God – Ps.139:13-16; Jer.1:5; Job10:8-12 • God determines how long we live – 1Sam.2:6; Job14:5;Acts17:25 God is concerned about life from “womb to tomb”
3. Innocent life is not to be taken Human life is precious to God – Gen.4:9,10; 9:5,6; Ex.20:13; Dt.21:1-9 “culture of life” being replaced by “culture of death” – unborn, disabled infants, elderly are killed
4. All human life needs special care • Laws to protect the vulnerable “slippery slope” – Unthinkable > tolerated > permitted > expected > required Pressures to change the law :- 1. Public opinion 2. Emotional and economic b. Good care is given to the dying – “Total care”
5. What can I/we do? • Pray • Learn • Care • Prepare for death “For me to live is Christ and to die is gain” - (Phil.1:21)
