Photo Op!Inviting policy makers to WRD What’s more patriotic than a citizenship ceremony, or a celebration of refugees in your community? • Why not invite a politician to: • Conduct the oath? • Teach a civics or ESL class? • Take a photo with refugees? • Introduce refugee speakers? • Attend WRD, wear a flag pin?

  4. Every Voice Heard:Making advocates out of WRD attendees Make an event announcement for all to: Call a policymaker – right now! all together! – urging them to support refugees Sign up for refugee advocacy alerts Write or sign letters in support of refugees Start or join an advocacy team!

A Picture is Worth 1,000 Words:WRD event photos can change policy Share photos with your advocacy staff, so we can bring them to our visits with the DC offices of your Senators & Representatives to encourage them to be champions for refugees. Bring photos to a visit with your local politicians to educate them & encourage them to attend next year!
