  4. Using the text Have a look at the text and question in front of you. Start by highlighting all the points that you feel are showing mood and atmosphere

Using your knowledge of the text You now need to use your own knowledge of the text to extend your ideas further. • Do a spidergram of all the important points that you can remember from the novel that link to this extract. • Start by giving a paragraph in which you say what the mood and atmosphere is in this extract and make links to earlier in the novel
