Literature Review • .S. Ha, D.P Smith. 2006. A Pheromone Receptor Mediates 11-cis-Vaccenyl Acetate-Induced Responses in Drosophila
Purpose • The purpose of this experiment is to measure the reaction of the Mutant lush drosophila and the regular drosophila when it comes in contact with 6-Acetoxy-5-hexadecanolide
Hypothesis • Alternate Hypothesis- whenever the Mutant lush drosophila are in the presence of the pheromone they will not have a response, or they will not have a strong response to the pheromone. However, when the regular drosophila are in the presence of the pheromone, they will have a stronger reaction to it. • Null Hypothesis-when the mutant Drosophila are within the presence of the drosophila, there will be no significant decrease in their reaction, and when the regular drosophila are within the presence of the pheromone there will be no significant increase in reaction.
