IRAN : 1) Lack of legislation for FOA Government is doing the needed preparations / legislations to give more chance and security to Federation improving the legislations) , workers house is willing to ratify this convention. 2) No strict relations between Workers & Employers -this affect bargaining, tripartite mechanism is not practised. 3) Dismissed without reasons by employers in the Metal / Textile industry. Lack ofrespect ion of the workers right.
Singapore • Restriction of public servants - need to approval from registrar of trade union. However, exemption is granted to the Public Employees (AUPE) • Restriction for domestic maids to join unions – However the Ministry of Labour has a unit for the domestic servants to file their complaints / grievances • Restriction of Financial Investments especially speculative in nature to prevent the abuse of union funds
KOREA • Only Monopoly union at company level until 31 Dec 2006 • Union Leaders are elected and linked to political groups • Restriction of Remuneration of Union Leaders by employers
HONG KONG • Absence of the legislation for Collective Bargaining .eg Government cut the wages twice of civil servant without any negotiation with unions in 2002 and 2003. • Restriction of police and Disciplinary team in public service in forming the union and strike. • Some Union leader and union committee are under the informal monitoring and may be dismissed by the company.
