Expectations • Geofence - devices are tracked by district • Do not remove the label • ALL activity is monitored in and out of district • Filters - all devices on CSD network • Personalization of devices is prohibited • Do not add stickers or additional items to device
Technology Norms • No food or drink near devices • Carrying the Chromebook: Closed and secured • Cleaning - no water or chemicals, no paper towels • Screen cleaning cloths • Only use the Chromebook assigned to you • Device and power adapter kept in good working condition • Treat it with care!
Do’s & Don’ts for your Chromebook • Follow classroom/building norms • Use Chromebook only when instructed • Do not allow the following: • Do not drop your device • Do not let your device get wet • Do not leave device in extreme conditions (hot or cold)
Student Responsibilities • Damage of loss of device due to NEGLECT or ABUSE may result in replacement costs of $250 • Defacing or destruction of property will result in loss of device privileges • District requests for return of the equipment shall be met immediately • Student withdrawal • Neglect or destruction
Student Responsibilities • Device must be returned to school every day, charged • Unless student is absent • Notify teacher and parents of any damage immediately • Outside of CSD network - students will not gain access to inappropriate materials

Start Up • Push the power button to start up the Chromebook • Select the icon that best fits you • Prompt to log in • Use student ID & PW • Log in: firstname.lastname@students.christina.k12.de.us • PW: firstname *if student has not changed it*
How to use your Chromebook • Apps launcher - access to programs • Select or search for apps • Calculator • Files • Camera • Use Chrome for web browsing • Chrome has a quick access bar below the URL address bar
Online Etiquette • Word usage should be appropriate for school • All online communication is monitored • Vulgarity and profanity will not be tolerated • Cyberbullying will not be tolerated • Be kind, be respectful • “1-2-3, eyes on me” + “Screens down and check in” • Pay attention to teacher instructions

Technology Agreement • A technology initiative agreement needs to be signed by your parent/guardian • Students who have a returned form signed will be provided a device • Students who do not have a returned form will not be provided a device
