  2. 11 CREATE YOUR TEAM 1 • Check with your business about sponsoring your team • Start recruiting family, friends, co-workers, neighbors and schoolmates. • Distribute Save-the-Date cards and Registration forms • Use your Participant Center to send e-mails to prospective team members. • NEW THIS YEAR: Once teams are registered, each captain will receive a Komen Koach or mentor who will be available to help with everything from registration to fundraising 2013 Team Captain’s Kit

  3. 11 REGISTER YOUR TEAM 2 • NEW THIS YEAR: TEAM REGISTRATION WILL BE AVAILABLE RIGHT UP UNTIL RACE DAY (APRIL 13). • REGISTER ONLINE or send in your PAPER REGISTRATION • ONLINE REGISTRATION: • As team captain, you will start your team by registering online at www.savannahraceforthecure.org and selecting START A TEAM (registration instructions included in packet) • Have team members join your team by selecting JOIN A TEAM • PAPER REGISTRATION: • Pre-fill out your team name on registration forms • Distribute forms to team members • Collect forms and payments and return to Komen Coastal Georgia 2013 Team Captain’s Kit

  4. 11 FUNDRAISE 3 • NEW INCENATIVES THIS YEAR: OUR TEAMS COMMITTEE HAS BEEN HARD AT WORK CREATING EXCITING TEAM INCENTIVES AT ALL LEVELS! • TEAM PRIZES • 1ST Place Fundraising Team*: Hyatt Cocktail Party • 2nd Place Fundraising Team*: Savannah Slow Ride Party • 3rd Place Fundraising Team*: Savannah Fun Tours Custom Scavenger Hunt • Remember: Your registration fee gets you to the start line, but donations will help us reach the finish line! • VIP TEAM: Become a VIP Team by raising $2,500 by April 8th and you will get access to the Teaming Up for the Cure VIP area on Race Day (catered and hosted by The Hyatt Regency) among other “perks”. • *All team awards will be calculated on donations received by April 12th at midnight. For more detailed information see Team Awards on website. POWER OF TEN CHALLENGE If each participant collects $10 from 10 friends, we could raise $500,000! This could fund over 2,500 mammograms for under-insured women in Coastal Georgia. 2013 Team Captain’s Kit

  5. 11 ENJOY THE RACE 4 • Saturday, April 13, 2013 • Telfair Square, Savannah GA • 6:00am Packet Pickup and Registration • 7:00am Telfair Square Exhibitors Open • 7:00am Survivor Café and Team VIP Areas Open • 7:15am Welcoming Remarks • 7:45am Survivor Processional • 8:00am Kids' Race - Kids for the Cure • 8:15am Competitive 5K Start, 5K Walk Start and One-mile Walk Start • 10:00am Closing ceremony, New Balance Award, Racers and Team Awards, Top Fundraising Team Award • Due to the large amount of participants we suggest you bring a specific • balloon or team banner that will be easily identifiable to • your team members (tents/tables are not permitted) • Arrive early to get close parking and to check out the expo tents. 2013 Team Captain’s Kit
