Teachers’ Action Cooperative (because traditional CPD does not result in change- remembering open plan classrooms) Only teachers can change teaching Changing teaching is itself a learning process (always striving for outstanding learning) Learning requires: a challenge, opportunity to practice, feedback on success, support to continue and/to improve.
TAC Process • Decide on skill to develop (challenge) • Use Active Learning this time • Practice on own • we all make mistakes and learn from them- 10 times to be confident • Invite a member of TAC to observe • Discuss the observation (Feedback) • Feedback to larger Group (19.03.2014) • Decide on next most effective ‘EBT’ strategy
