Archive Overview • Copies fax images to network storage • Writes metadata about each fax image to a Microsoft SQL or Access database • Copies the fax server incoming and transmitted transaction logs data to the archive database. • Runs daily or on a schedule every hh:mm • Has search options to make it easier to find faxes • Stores faxes as TIF or PDF The Castelle FaxPress Plus Archive Service:

Before you Begin • FaxPress Plus Server must be up and running • Identify location for storage of fax images • Choose Microsoft Access or SQL database (SQL Server is customer requirement) • Have necessary FaxPress and Network credentials (user name and password) • Identify aging and retention requirements • Identify Space Requirements

Configuration Options • Desktop or Web Client – Administration/Embedded Services/Fax Archive • Administrative or All User View • SQL or Access database • New or Existing database (Access Only) • DSN (SQL Only) • Account for Archive Service (full control) • Account for Client connection (read only) • Access database password (Access Only)
