The root word of geocaching is… GEOCACHE Let’s break it up to see what it really means…
Geo means… • The earth
Cache means… • A hiding place
Cache can also mean… The container you are hiding.
Cache does not mean… cash
How do I find these containers? • Geocachers use a GPS unit. • GPS= Global Positioning System

What Skills Will I Need? Think and look closely at your surroundings
