UTeach Graduates Nationwide Cumulative program graduates through Spring 2014: 2,135 UTeach at UT Austin: 878UTeach partner programs: 1,257 Graduates identified as underrepresented minorities: UTeach at UT Austin: 23% UTeach partner programs: 12% Graduates entering teaching: UTeach at UT Austin: 90% UTeach partner programs: 80% Graduates who teach in schools with a majority low-income population: UTeach at UT Austin: 59%UTeach partner programs: 69% Graduates who teach STEM in K–12 schools: UTeach at UT Austin: Math, 59%; Science, 38% UTeach partner programs: Math, 54%; Science, 46% Employment numbers are based on the 80% of graduates through Spring 2014 successfully tracked. Low-income schools are defined as schools deemed eligible for Title 1 funding according to the National Center for Education Statistics, Elementary/Secondary Information System (EISi). EISi data were available for 80% of schools where UTeach graduates were employed. UT Austin data is reported separately because that program began producing graduates in 2000, nineyears before the first partner program produced graduates.
