I was born in Eureka, California – over 2700 miles away from Sugar Hill, Georgia. Eureka
We lived in 4 different towns on the coast of Oregon - Gold Beach, Coos Bay, Florence, and Tillamook Coast north of Florence, OR Coast off the town of Tillamook
I went to Tillamook Junior High School and Tillamook High School from 6th to 10th grade. I was a Tillamook Cheesemaker!
I graduated from Marshfield High School in Coos Bay, 1980. Go Pirates!
I went to Seattle Pacific University and graduated from George Fox College in 1984.
I worked at Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park for two summers.
I lived and taught in Whittier, CA outside of Los Angeles for 17 years. Every year, I would take my 6th graders on a Sea Trawl field trip. Robert Torti, who plays the dad on The Suite Life of Zac and Cody.
Now here’s my family: Justin, a 9thgrader Rebekah, an 8thgrader
And then we moved to Georgia where my brother’s family lives so we can be close again!
We created the Holiday Hike Club and hike to a different waterfall every holiday! Toccoa Falls Toccoa Falls Anna Ruby Falls DeSoto Falls
I celebrated my 50th birthday with my first trip to New York!!
I had a great time with my brother and sister-in-law and the great Lady Liberty!!!
Special events in my life • My parents were born the same year as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco in 1937 • My parents met in Crescent City, CA in 1954 • My parents were married in 1960 and celebrated 50 years in 2010 • I was born on January 16, 1962 • Met my VBB, Angelia, in 1974 when I was in 7th grade • Built an A-frame with my family in 1977 • Graduated from high school in 1980 • Started teaching in 1984 • Worked in Yellowstone in 1988 • Moved to Los Angeles in 1990 • Moved to Georgia in 2007
