  1. Closing of Comsql and Fxsql

  2. Steps for Closing of comsql and fxsql • Step1 : Check Free Disk Space on drive where Software is Installed. Free space must be approx. twice of current database size. • Step2: Check for any pending amount .If found any dues then consult account department. • Step3: Download New sqlclient.zip and scomclose.zip from www.shilpisoft.com before start process of Closing. • Step4: Ask the client to send request for closing. For it, follow the following steps: • Extract sqlclient.zip in package folder(example: d:\comsql) • Double click on sqlclient.exe Sqlclient.zip Sqlclient.exe

  3. Check i-net connection . If connection is successful then click on Send FA Closing Request otherwise check internet connectivity or port 8089 (This port should open.). 4. Send FA closing Request 1. Click on it 2. Wait for the following message 3 .Click on OK.

  4. Following window will open .Fill all details and send request Select Product Type Enter database name Enter Contact person name Enter Mobile no/ Ph. no Click on send request. Following message will display. Click on OK.

  5. Step5: After sending request, a DCR will be created automatically(if all details are valid ). Now, FA Closing is allowed for that database.

  6. Step 6: Check Database • Follow the following steps: • Login into software and check Database. • Run Check Database before Backup From System Utilities under Utility Menu.

  7. Click on Start to check the database After database checking following message will display Click on OK

  8. Step8: Update license • After confirming with license dept then start the process of closing. • Update License Status from latest SQLCLIENT.EXE.   1. Click here .Following message must display 2.Click on OK

  9. Click on update License Status 1. Select product id 2. Enter database 3. Select Auto Mode 4. Click on Get Activation. Following message will display

  10. Step9: Take backup Note: Before taking backup, make sure Sql Engine must be properly shutdown Double click on comback.bat Following window will open.

  12. Step10: Go To SQL850 Folder. • Create a New Folder With New Database Name .(eg. COM0910 )

  14. Extract Backup file which was taken earlier before in the com0910 folder • SQL Server Must Be Closed During this process

  16. Step11: Rename COMSQL.DBS File To COM0910.DBS i e. Same As Folder Name Created In Previous Step (eg. COMSQL.DBS TO COM0910.DBS). Renamed File

  17. Step12: Edit Sql.ini File In Sql850 Folder. To edit it follow the following steps: • Find Block [dbnt1sv]] • Find dbname =comsql,sqlws32 • dbname =com0910,sqlw32 (add this line in small alphabets) • Copy this sql.ini in Comsql folder also (i.e. Replace existing sql.ini in comsql folder)

  18. Note: Entry of new database must display in SQL engine as shown below e.g.(com0910).

  19. Step13: Download SCOMCLOSE.ZIP in comsql folder from http://www.shilpisoft.com/Support.htm Download SCOMCLOSE.ZIP in comsql folder SCOMCLOSE.ZIP

  22. Step14: Run SCOMCLOSE.EXEFrom COMSQL folder. • A Following window will open

  23. Select Current year database name (i.e.COMSQL). • Enter New Financial Year Start & End Dates. (eg. Current Fin. Year From: 01/04/2010 Current Fin. Year To: 31/03/2011). Click on Start..

  24. This process will take time depending upon database size. Closing will be completed after successful message.

  25. Step15: Run sqlclient.exe to license New Year Database. • Choose Product type (Comsql), Enter New Year Database Name & Database ID and click on 'Get Activation‘. Select database Restore/Fin closing Select Product Type Enter database name Enter Installation Id given by license department Click on Get Activation . Following message will display

  26. Step16: Change Financial Year • Change of Financial Year in Current Database • Follow the following steps to change the financial year in Current Year • Double click on comsql shortcut icon and login into current financial year (COMSQL). Select current financial year

  27. Run Program File COMSQL.EXE. Go To Utilities>>System File Maintenance

  28. Change Financial Year in the database . Click on Save Change Financial year date Change Financial year date

  29. Step17: Run Create/Update Balances. • Go to Utility>>Click on Create/Update Balances.

  30. Click on generate Click on Ok

  31. Step18: Change of financial Year • Change of Financial Year in old Database • Follow the following steps to change the financial year in Current Year • Double click on comsql shortcut icon and login into current financial year (COMSQL • Login into old financial year (COM0910). Select old financial year

  32. Run Program File COMSQL.EXE. • Go To Utilities>>System File Maintenance

  33. Change Financial Year in of the database . Change Financial Year Change Financial Year

  34. Step19: Create/Update Balances • Go to Utility>>Click on Create/Update Balances.

  35. Click on generate Click on Ok

  36. Step20: Edit comback.bat • Go to Comback Folder • Open Comback.bat • Replace Comsql with Com0910

  37. Replace All

  38. Save as comback.bat as Back_com0910.bat • Make shortcut of Back_Com0910 on desktop

  39. Step21: Before taking backup, make sure Sql Engine Properly Shutdown Close SQL engine. Click on close Following message must display after closing the SQL engine

  40. Step22: Take BACKUP Backup of old database Double click on comback_0910.bat to take backup Note: Before Double click on comsql_0910.bat Please make sure Sql Engine Properly Shutdown

  41. Backup of current database Double click on comback.bat to take backup Note: Before Double click on comback.bat Please make sure Sql Engine Properly Shutdown

  42. Comsql & Fxsql Closing successfully completed
