What is the Arran tourism sector worth and is it growing? • Tourism on Arran grew by 17% between 2005 and 2008 and a further 6% in value and volume in 2009 (significantly above 2% in Ayrshire) • Tourism delivered £32m to the local economy in 2009. Tourism accounts for approximately 30% of Island Employment. • 210,000 visitors came to Arran in 2009 • Evidence for 2010 suggests value of tourism has grown on Arran, but it is slowing • Real time measurement a target Feels like something exciting is happening ....................even in challenging times !!!!
