Some facts about Karditsa • Karditsa is a town in western Thessaly in mainland Greece. • It is about 300 km far from Athens and 200 km from Salonica. • There are about 35.000 inhabitants in our city. • Karditsa is one of the most bicycle-friendly cities in Europe with an extensive network of bicycle paths. Approximately 30% of all the city transportation is done by bicycles according to the National Technical University of Athens.
The statue of Nicolaos Plastiras who was one of the most important men in Greek politics. The “Arni” hotel. One of the first neoclassical buildings in our town.
Natural beauties and tradition in our district. The Plastiras Lake with its superb surroundings. The “Korona” monastery, built in the byzantine years.
Some information about our school • Our school is the 4th high school of Karditsa. • It is a school of general education which prepares students to get to the university. • There are approximately 400 students and 40 teachers in our school. • There are many facilities in it: two laboratories, three classrooms with computers, a large hall, a canteen, a football pitch and a basketball court.
