Charter CSR Compliance State Requirements School-wide Average by Grade Grouping Grades PK-3 average should be no more than 18 students. Grades 4-8 average should be no more than 22 students. Grades 9-12 average should be no more than 25 students.

Students must be registered in the classes for the period to count for class size calculations.

Scheduling Methods • S = Self contained: One teacher provides total instruction for entire class period. • B = Block: Any block schedule is applicable • A = Alternate Week: Different groups of students in the same course on same day but alternate weeks • M = Multiple use: More than one class meets during the same period in same FISH but separated by temporary ‘walls’ • C = Co-teaching: Two or more teachers share responsibility for planning, delivering, and evaluating instruction for all students in a class and must continue for the entire period • G = Individual or Small Group Instruction: Teacher meets with individual or small group of students in a separate setting. • I = In-Class One-on-One: Teacher meets with an individual or small groups of students on an individualized basis within a traditional classroom but not as a co-teacher • W = Wheel Class: Same course meets in the same room with the same teacher during the same period on multiple days of the week but with different groups of students
