  2. Wheat is a crop that grows in a field

  3. The wheat is cut down by a machine called a combine harvester.

  4. The grains of the wheat are called ears. These are used to make the flour.

  5. The wheat grains are taken to a mill where they are ground down by machines to make flour.

  6. The flour is taken to a bakery. It is mixed with: • Butter • Yeast • Salt • Water to make a dough

  7. The dough is rolled and moulded into different shapes for different kinds of bread

  8. The dough is baked in a hot oven to make delicious fresh bread

  9. The bread is packed up and taken to the shop to be sold
