As You Begin To TutorWhat to Expect • - Attendance: may be irregular • - The student may have personal problems • - “ “ may appear irresponsible • - “ “ may be forgetful • - “ “ may need to be reminded • - A job may prevent the student fromattending • Family demands may prevent student from giving reading priority • Don’t be Discouraged!!! • A Literacy Ministry Requires Patience
FRIENDSHIP • Through teaching and sharing in class in and out of class may become close friends. • Beware that student doesn’t get too dependent on you. • - Treat the student as a precious person. • - As you learn of the student’s personal struggles and victories, your respect will grow. • - Always remember we are modeling what Christ would do
