Warrant • The warrant explains how the evidence supports the claim. • Since cars are the largest source of personal air pollution switching to hybrid cars should have an impact on fighting pollution. • You could also say: • As a rule switching to hybrid cars would have an impact on fighting pollution becausecars are the largest source of personal air pollution.
Backing • Backing supports the warrant. • If 20% of the car owning population trades cars, for a hybrid car, the average pollution rate would decrease by 15%.
