DDR or Dance Dance Revolution originated in Japan in the 90’s, at first just as an arcade game. However, as it grew in popularity it made the transition to home consoles. Since then it has spread to America and many different foreign countries, and there are many different versions of it available. These include Dance Dance Revolution (original), Dance Dance Revolution Konamix, and Dance Dance Revolution MAX and MAX II. Dance Dance Revolution provides very good exercise, and even has an exercise program within the game that tells you how many calories you burn per song, and how long you work out.
DDR is basically a dancing game. You select a song, and then arrows pop up on the screen while the song plays. The object of the game is to step on the arrows on your dance pad (which corresponds to the game), as they move down the screen. There are not really any rules for this game-just try your best to step on the arrows, and you’ll get better in time.
