Efficiency Equation Definitions • Selection Signal Efficiency: εsig = 100 * Σ matched τ’s passing selection / Σ total matched τ’s • Selection Background Efficiency: εback = 100 * Σ unmatched τ’s passing selection / Σ total matched τ’s • ID Signal Efficiency εsig = 100 * Σ matched τ’s passing selection / Σ total matched τ’s prior to ID • ID Background Efficiency εsig = 100 * Σunmatched τ’s passing selection / Σ total matched τ’s prior to ID • When denominator = 0, set it to 1 • Tau matching via getTruthMatch function in TNtupleAnalyzer code • total matched determined during Object Selection • matched/unmatched during tau cut (C7)
