“The Full Life” • Jesus said: I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:10) • Introduction: • Psalm 92:12-15 • 12 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; 13 planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. 14 They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, 15 proclaiming, “The LORD is upright
The Full Life • I) Means Beginning well – a necessary experience • i The righteous…is planted in the house of the Lord v.13. • ii Jesus answered…You must be born again (John 3:7)
The Full Life • II) Means flourishing good health - a condition to be maintained • i)They will flourish in the courts of our God…They will stay fresh and green v.13,14 • ii) I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. • (3 John:2)
The Full Life • III) Means growing in the Faith – a process to promote • i) The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon. v.12 • ii) But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18)
The Full Life • IV) Means bearing fruit – producing something • i) They will still bear fruit in old age…proclaiming • The Lord is upright v.14,15 • ii) I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit - • fruit that will last (John 15:16)
