Mrs. Martinez’s Math Class. Welcome To. INTRODUCTION. Algebra is the foundation Mathematics course in the High School Mathematics curriculum. Algebra is the prerequisite course for all future Math courses. Algebra will prepare students to take the FCAT and the End of Course Exam (EOC).

INTRODUCTION • Algebra is the foundation Mathematics course in the High School Mathematics curriculum. • Algebra is the prerequisite course for all future Math courses. • Algebra will prepare students to take the FCAT and the End of Course Exam (EOC). • Algebra is a High School graduation requirement.
STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES • Punctuality – Please arrive to class on time. • Come to class prepared with supplies, textbook, workbook, and completed homework. • Come to class prepared to participate.
SUPPLIES • Bring to class every day! • #2 Pencils • Blue or Black Pen • Clean loose leaf notebook paper • Textbook • Workbook • Math Portfolio • All assignments are to be done in pencil and corrected in pen.
CLASS PERIODS • 3 SEGMENTS • Address questions from previous work. • Introduce new topics and concepts. • Practice and work in groups.
CLASSROOM RULES • Students will remain seated unless instructed otherwise. • Students are to ask questions by raising their hand and then wait to be called upon. • Students will observe the 15 minute rule. • Students will be given two (2) restrooms visits per quarter. • Students will try their best!!

MAKE UP WORK • School Board of Broward County Policy • for excused absences only • student has two (2) days for each day of absence • student may make up work (including tests) given while absent • Tests, projects, and assignments announced prior to the absence are due the day the student returns • Exception • All projects are due on or before the due date • There will be a 10% grade reduction per day for late submissions
