How can EGIN approach EQF and ECVET? • EQF is about placing Qualifications in 8 levels • Not about the individual achievement or performance at the final examination • EQF is a meta-framework and the possible NQF will not be so fine-tuned that it can be regarded as a personal assessment tool
How can EGIN approach EQF and ECVET? ECVET is about points given for at a set of learning outcomes – modules? No formal recommendation yet Again not an assessment tool, but for the transfer and accumulation of learning outcomes acquired by people moving from one learning context to another
How can EGIN approach EQF and ECVET? One possible method: We can sit together and analyse all our curricula, discuss the impact of different pedagogical methods on the learning outcomes ( is learning in school a “better” methodology than learning in a company?), the length of the various educations, the levels of the qualifications using the EQF once it has been established for practical use in 2014.. And look for similarities… Where will it end up?
How can EGIN approach EQF and ECVET? On the other hand Can we do anything without going though this extensive exercise? We could do like the Hairdressers, develop specifically what we want? In this setting – not a European Journeyman's Certificate but….
