Introduction This session will highlight resources and services available to Pitt County School employees by the Teaching Resources Center of Joyner Library. Topics will include Birth-Grade 12 curriculum materials, textbooks, and the TRC Outreach Program.
The Teaching Resources Center (TRC) Established in 1988, the Teaching Resources Center contains children and young adult materials, K-12 North Carolina state adopted textbooks, audiovisual materials and reference resources.
Mission The mission of the Teaching Resources Center is to facilitate teaching and learning initiatives by providing resources and services to educators at all levels.

Educator Library Card The educator library card is available free to eastern North Carolina K-12 educators. In offering the Educator Library Card, the goals of Joyner Library are to provide area educators with free access to the materials in Joyner Library, to increase awareness of the resources and materials in Joyner Library and to show our commitment and support to the area educators. Interlibrary Loan Services Educators within participating K-12 schools in eastern North Carolina can request Joyner Library materials through their school media coordinators. Requests are filled by the Interlibrary Loan Department at Joyner Library and sent through the State Courier System, mail system, or FedEx, for delivery to the designated school library.
