  2. Hay dolores tan vivos que queman, tan hondos que inundan, tan arrasadores que destruyen y tan violentos que dominan.

  3. Mi río, tan alegre, está llorando. Mi lámpara, tan tibia, está opaca. Mi rosa, tan fragante, está mustia. Mi montaña, tan alta, está escondida. Mi cántaro, vacío. ¡Y mis cuerdas rotas!

  4. Yo tengo una espina por dentro, un quejido sordo, una herida abierta, un dolor que me aplasta y me consume.

  5. Pero más allá, en lo hondo de mi raíz, en la médula de los huesos, disuelta en la sangre que me circula...

  6. Tengo fe en un Dios que no abandona.
