Who are we? • 180 Degrees Consulting is an international volunteer student consultancy that works with socially conscious organizations, helping them achieve a greater social impact. • We help non-profit organizations and charities to solve their business problems • Founded at the University of Sydney in 2007 • Effective use of funds is just as important as the level of funds

  3. History We currently employ over 350 consultants in 19 offices internationally Our international network and human capital are our most important resources, responsible for generating considerable social impact.

  5. Canterbury Branch • Started in the second semester of 2012 • We had 2 clients for the initial semester • Continued to grow and currently have 4 projects running this semester • Have worked with 8 clients since 2012 with repeating business from clients who were impressed with our work

Why we are different • Our consultants want to make a difference to the community • Provide the opportunity for them to use their skills effectively • Our consultants gain professional experience that they are proud to put on their CV • We draw on a vast pool of knowledge for projects • It is a mutually beneficial experience for the client and students • International opportunities provided

How can NGOs and charities get involved? • We are always looking for new clients to help • Approach us with an idea of a problem and we will discuss further • The project will run for a semester (12 weeks) • Will receive a report and presentation of findings “The world needs more ideas like those developed by 180 Degrees Consulting, and more people like them with the social conscience, passion and ability to make change happen.” – Donald J.   10. Future Plans • Continue to grow client base in Christchurch • Start offices in Auckland and Wellington by 2014 • Enable companies and organizations to achieve social impact by enabling the most capable university students to develop sustainable solutions in a socially conscious world
