Antonio Caldara • In Venice he began working for the Duke of Mantua in 1699, appointed maestro di cappella • Then went to Rome in 1708 into the service of Cardinal Ottoboni • 1717 moved again this time to Vienna as the vice-kapellmeister under Charles VI
Personal Life • Met his wife in Rome • CaterinaPetrolli was a vocalist (alto) they married in May 1711 • Had two daughters : Sophia JacobinaMaria, and Francesca Isobella Giovanna
